At this year's CACJ Conference, Fulton County Veteran’s Court, under the leadership of Chief Judge Ural Glanville, was officially recognized as a Model Court for the State of Georgia.
Programs identified as Model Courts have met and exceeded adherence to Georgia’s Standards with strong performance in certification and peer review processes. Other metrics for consideration include program age, judge and coordinator tenure, treatment fidelity, and more. As a Model Court, the Fulton County Veteran’s Court program is not just recognized for its great work and as a strong program, but also has the privilege to serve as a mentor for other courts.
Three members of the Accountability Court team also received their Coordinator Certification at this year’s conference. We congratulate Anthony Warren, Breanna Stubbs-Brown, and Lisa Long-Johnson for their dedication and commitment in their achievements!
The Council of Accountability Court Judges and the Carl Vinson Institute of Government provide this certification which includes eight rigorous courses for a total of 45 hours of instruction. The objectives of the certificate includes developing the skills necessary to carry out the administrative functions as an accountability court coordinator, developing and maintaining the high standards for the functioning of the accountability courts, and increasing the professionalism of accountability court coordinators.
